DEAR PARISHIONERS

Published on December 21, 2023

As we begin a New Year together in our Parish, on my own behalf I would like to wish you and your families a holy and happy New Year and to thank you for the support that you have given us during the last year.

I want to thank especially all who help in the various Ministries in our Parish and for those who give of their time in making our Parish a vibrant Christian community. To all the Clubs and Organisations who add so much to the life of the Parish, I encourage them to keep up the good work. So many people who visit the Parish and who have come to live here recently often comment to me how friendly and welcoming the people of Monasterevin are.

A warm welcome to all who are home for Christmas from abroad and to those who are unable to make it home at this festive time we send our sincere good wishes.

For many people Christmas can be a sad time, especially for those who have lost loved ones. I will be remembering all those who have died in my prayers at Masses over the Christmas period.

I am hoping to see as many of you as possible at our Christmas ceremonies especially those who have been away from the Church for a while.

The hope that each of us have in our hearts is that the Christ who has come among us walks the journey of life with us. May that peace of Christ dwell in our hearts and your homes this Christmas.

Fr. Liam.
